Katherine Drew
Listing managed by this therapistI’m Katherine, a BABCP‑accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and an Accredited Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapist (EMDR) with additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Alongside my psychological therapy work, I am also a Level 3 qualified Reflexologist, which allows me to offer an integrated approach that supports both emotional and physical wellbeing. Over the years, I’ve seen the growing evidence—and experienced first‑hand—the powerful connection between our physical and mental health. This has shaped my commitment to providing holistic, individualised care that can include CBT, EMDR, ACT, CFT Reflexology, or a thoughtful combination of all. I value being able to offer clients a range of therapeutic options, recognising that each person’s needs, preferences, and journey are unique. I have worked in mental health for more than 20 years across NHS and private settings, delivering both individual and group therapy. Before specialising in psychological therapies, I worked with children and young people in educational and advisory roles. These experiences have reinforced something I hold central to my practice: the importance of giving people the time and space to talk, to be heard, and to develop the insight that leads to meaningful and lasting change. Both professionally and in my life at home with young children, I am passionate about developing practical, sustainable strategies that support physical health and psychological resilience. I understand the challenges of balancing work, family, and personal wellbeing, and I work collaboratively with clients to integrate these strategies into their everyday lives in a way that feels achievable and supportive. My therapeutic style is warm, curious, and person‑centred. I approach each client with compassion and an appreciation for the individuality of their experiences. Whether we work together through CBT, EMDR, CFT, ACT, Reflexology, or a blended approach, my aim is to provide a safe, grounded, and empowering space for you to explore your wellbeing and move forward on your own unique path.
